Can a stellium really?

I am not sure exactly if I'm using the term "stellium" in a correct way but I'd like to know if having a stellium of six same signs can really alter many of your traits.Like I have six Capricorns in me but I have so many conjunctions that I can act totally different than someone who for example has one or two Capricorns in personal planets.
