My kitty cat ran away.?

My cat, Norman ran away roughly 1 and a half month ago. I miss him SO much. The Night he ran away it was VERY VERY cold. I have searched everywhere for him, but still no luck. He is fixed, and very loved. Do you think he ran away because he didn't like it hear because cats are very smart and i would have thought he could find his way back by now! It has been extremely cold around hear lately and very snowy. Do you think it is possible he might come back ever? Thank you. : )
