PRISON BREAK HELP??!!

At the end of the first season of Prison Break, "D.B. Cooper" (actual name in show was like Wes Morland or something) dies as they are breaking out. Michael promises he will go to "Cooper's" dieing daughter and tell her that her father loves her. Does he ever actually do this? If So, what episode? If not, do you think they just omitted it thinking no one would realise?
