if you can get your ankle taped i would do that because you can get it to conform more to your ankle, get it to the tightness of your liking, and provide in my eyes more support. If you want to get a brace instead, either are fine but i would buy the aso. I have always like aso braces and recommend them to my athletes when they don't want to get taped or if they can't get taped.
