For breakaway try to throw as soon as your out of the box.( once your horse is in position) Keeps ur time fast, and that is when the calf is going the straightest. keep the tip of the rope down!! <------ very important! stand up to throw. once you throw grab your slack and pull back on the rope and sit at the same time. hope this helped. Have fun, and don't get frusturated. i know people who took them 3 years to catch there first calf. Also practice makes perfect.
