Can i take my External hard drive to USA?

It would help if you stated what country you are coming from. Your problem is NOT getting your hard drive through customs. It is how to power it. The U.S electrical grid operates on 110 volt, 60 cycle current. Most other countries operate on 220 volt, 50 cycle current. Your hard drive won't work here without using a power converter.
