New caulking "melting" in shower as soon as it gets wet?

Recently installed a corner shower and used DAP Kwik seal Tub and Tile adhesive caulk to seal all the corners. Today Turned on the shower and the caulking all kinda melted around the drain and at the base. I even let it sit for about 5 days before using it. This is a first as I've never seen this happen before... Anyone know what might have happened?
